I’ve been trying to get a better handle on what is different about my life and how those things have changed. It’s starting to get to be that it is in fact different. And, it is what it is.
As I continue to work on the new year, I am constantly reminded about how different my life has become. For instance, I have a blog and a podcast (both now defunct) and I have also started a new business. What I’ve learned is that my life has changed for the better. I find myself more open, more confident, and more optimistic. I’ve gotten so much better at being kind to myself.
In the past, Ive been so scared of my own opinions, ideas, and feelings. Ive been so afraid of being wrong or having someone think Ive been wrong or doing something Ive been wrong about. But Ive also been so afraid of not being liked. Ive been so afraid of feeling like Id been wrong. And Ive been so afraid of feeling like no one loves me. But now, Ive found myself more open and more comfortable in my own skin.
A lot of us are afraid of feeling alone in the world. But we’re also afraid of feeling like we have to be perfect and that we can’t have any missteps. The only way to overcome this fear is to embrace our differences and let go of fear.
The more we feel like we’re the only one who’s got this problem, the more we’ll take steps to fix it. We’ll be more honest with ourselves, we’ll be more open with our friends, we’ll be more accepting of what we don’t know. The only way to overcome fear and overcome a fear of being left alone is to be more confident in yourself.
The problem is that so many people are afraid of being alone. We all know people who are afraid of their own opinions, but most people don’t know they are afraid. It’s not that we don’t want to be alone, it’s that we feel like we have to be perfect and that we cant have any missteps. The only way to overcome fear and overcome a fear of being left alone is to be more confident in yourself.
