My colleague from the fios router forum was looking at different routers. One was blinking out. That’s why we are in a rush to buy a new one this summer.
The router is a feature of the Cisco IOS and most of the other Cisco-based routers, and the blinking is caused by a bug, but not as the router thinks it is. In fact, the router can’t even blink. It’s caused by the firmware of the Cisco IOS that allows it to turn itself off and on in the blink of an eye. I think it would be an awesome feature if they could just turn it off and have it not blink.
I think it would be nice to have just one router that can turn itself off and the rest can blink. Then the rest can do the blinking.

I know this is a problem for you, but it actually works, which is quite cool for a router. Thats because your computer doesn’t have to think when you’re using its internet connection. But if youre using a modem, youll have to think about it too, and that can be a problem. Since a modem doesn’t have to think about what to do, it becomes an even bigger problem for the modem. It becomes a problem when youre using a modem with a cable. Youll have to think about the fact that your modem is not connected to the internet, only to the cable.
