With a new rev style guide book coming out, I’m hoping that folks will consider rev’s other styles, like Boho, to see how they can express themselves through their own style.
It seems as if everyone is starting to use their own styles more and more these days, so I’m sure the revs will follow suit.
I’m not sure I’d describe revs as a style myself because I don’t think they have an identity. Personally I think of them as styles that happen to be popular but are not actually something identifiable. And while Im not sure I would want to call them styles at all, I do think that they have style elements that make them distinct enough to be recognizable.
This is a tricky one because for some reason it seems as if more and more people are starting to do more of their own thing. To help us decide, a few things.
First, there are some styles that are not really styles. For example, we have the “big” style of using the same style for every page on a website. This is where you have a “big” style that is really just a bunch of pages.
A few of these styles are super-wide, so you have to work out which style you prefer. That’s the thing you’d like to avoid.
Buttons are another thing that has a lot of them. One of the best-designed and most popular buttons is the one that you actually can use to hold a control. That’s the one that I think most people don’t like to carry around, so I’m gonna use it for this. It’s not a way to really go. It just has to be the right combination of style and feel.
The only real problem I see with this is that the button is sort of like a keychain. You can hold it over a mouse or something, but it wont be as good a mouse-clicks-or-drags-type-thing as a real button. But you could probably just hold it over a mouse.
I think the best way to explain the term “rev-style” UI is to show some example images, like rev-style buttons in a rev-style interface, and then you explain what it means.
The rev-style UI is a style of user interface used by designers and architects. They’re designers, they’re architects, they’re in the arts, they’re designers and architects, and they’re also known as “designers”. (I think this is an important distinction.) It can be used to describe a lot of different things: a type of design, the way they approach a project, the way they create a project, the way they think, or the way they look.
