You will see that the sauce is cooking and the meatballs are starting to form themselves. We are now ready for the final element of the sauce, the meatballs themselves.
As long as there are any meatballs left in the pan, we are going to make a sauce from them. We start by heating the meatballs in the sauce and let it cook for a few more minutes. We stir in some flour, chicken stock, and cream. This is the most important part. We then add the meatballs, stir them in, and let them cook for about two minutes or so. This is the most important part.
The meatballs are going to be cooked in a sauce, which means they’re going to go through a longer cooking time than normal. This is important because meatballs that are cooked in oil are going to be very tough, whereas meatballs cooked in a sauce are going to be soft and juicy.
