The problems are that we don’t have any control over these habits, routines, impulses, or reactions. In other words, the things that we do on autopilot are not our own. Instead, they are controlled by the person in charge of us, the person who wants to do them. The person who wants us to do whatever it is we’re doing. If we are not conscious of our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then they control us.
It’s very important to realise that most of what you do on autopilot is not your own or even your most “natural” behavior. That’s why it’s important to go beyond autopilot and think about why you’re doing something. Most people assume that the reason they’re doing something is to get what they want from it. This is a wrong way of thinking because it is very rare that we don’t do it because we want to.
Most of the time, we do things because we want to, but that doesnt mean they are the reasons we do them. It can be that the reasons we do them are not the reasons we want to do them. It could also be that we dont know what the reasons are, and just do them because we feel like it. The problem with all of this is that we really don’t know what is important. What does it mean to us if someone else wants what we want? What defines us is constantly in flux, as new people come along and go, and old people leave and come back, and old people die and come back again, and then maybe some of the things we do become a little less important, but that doesnt mean they aren’t important.
Thats what we are trying to change. We are trying to create a society where everything we think, say, do, are and are not becomes important to us. Even if the thing that we think, say, do, are, are not, becomes the most important thing. If we are not getting our things, and we can’t get them, then they are not important.
