TV show guides are a tried and true method for catching up on past seasons of your favorite shows without having to wait for them to return, or watch them week after week live. For example, ABC, FOX and CBS all offer TV show guides so that you can watch all their current series episodes as soon as they air.
The TV show guide includes schedules, episode listings and in some cases trailers of the newest upcoming episodes. These days, there is usually a way to skip commercials thanks to the guide itself. ABC.com offers a free online TV Show Guide at abc.go.com/watchlist/. This will give you the option to watch full episodes online or via the Watch ABC App. The Watch ABC App is also available for Apple, Android and Kindle devices as well as other set-top streaming boxes like Roku and Amazon Fire TV.
ABC also has a “free” app that allows viewing of certain shows, but requires you to sit through commercials just like regular TV would do. An episode of “Modern Family” was 12 minutes long with ads included, while the same episode on Netflix was 30 minutes long without commercials according to reviewers on iTunes.
TV show guides can be found at CBS.
